Bonami: An Ambitious Vision in Online Commerce
The year 2021 marked a significant stage for Bonami, a reference name in online furniture and decorations commerce. With ambitious initiatives and a clear vision, the company launched a premium courier service in June, delivering furniture pieces directly to customers’ homes. This strategic move underscored Bonami’s commitment to customer satisfaction and service efficiency.
Impressive Expansion into New Markets
2021 was also the year when Bonami experienced remarkable expansion, adding four new markets to its portfolio: Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, and Slovenia. This expansion strengthened Bonami’s presence in the European market, demonstrating the company’s ability to adapt and thrive in diverse commercial environments.
Significant Investments for Sustainable Growth
Pavel Vopařil, Bonami’s CEO, highlighted the company’s considerable investments: over 4 million euros in stores, warehouse expansion, and opening in new markets. These investments were supported by the company’s own resources, indicating Bonami’s financial stability and prudent approach. In 2021, the company received over 2.7 million products in its warehouses, expanding the warehouse area by 10,000 m2 to a total impressive 55,000 m2.
Market Performance and Future Projections
Across all its markets, Bonami recorded a 25% growth. Although the Romanian market stagnated after a 40% growth in the previous year, the turnover in Romania reached 10 million euros in 2021. The number of products in stock remained constant, with a plan to deplete 90% of the stock. The availability of the best-selling products remains over 90%, and most of the sold goods are available in stock.
Diversifying the Offer and Adapting to Trends
Unlike previous years, Bonami added more furniture products in 2021, responding to the changing consumer preferences. Garden furniture, for example, experienced increased demand, reflecting the time customers spent at home. The furniture category recorded the highest sales at the company level.
Challenges and Opportunities in the Supply Chain
The company expects complications in the supply chain and increased prices for transport and materials. In this context, Bonami aims to focus on vertical integration to have complete control over the entire production chain, maintaining a superior quality level of products.
Quality and Satisfaction: Bonami’s Priorities
Pavel Vopařil emphasized the company’s desire to have more control over transportation and products. Bonami will expand its range with new categories, will start designing some products, and will place special emphasis on the superior quality of products. Customer satisfaction remains a central pillar, through the continuous improvement of services, website, mobile interface, content, and navigation. The expansion into four new markets in 2021, which experienced rapid growth, will continue to be a focus, to add services, product offers, and relevant content.
